A Health focused Web 2.0 startup is looking for a software guru to work for us part time on a contract basis with option to full time. We offer cash plus significant equity. We have launched our preview site in Jan 08, and are getting great traction and traffic. We will launch beta by mid April 08. We are angel funded and now are focusing on expanding our product features.
We are looking for a super smart software developer with entrepreneurial bend to augment outsourced development team and work with product managers based in Silicon Valley.
Requirements:
- BS/MS/PhD Computer Science
- 3+ years development experience with PHP/MySQL/Ajax/CSS/XML
- Excellent knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies such as Facebook/open social applications, Google, YouTube and Yahoo Answers APIs
- Joomla/Drupal experience preferred
- Quick thinker with ability to solve critical technical issues
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, servers and databases
- Ability to make trade-offs between features and delivery, and create phases to develop critical features.
- Excellent communications skills
